Read E-PaperGirlFest 2026 turned Old Hararians Sports Club into a vibrant display of fashion and feminine style as women arrived dressed to embrace the Rosa Riviera theme.
The recently ended festival, which had a combination of music, food, drinks and entertainment, also became an occasion for the ladies to showcase their personal style, with carefully selected outfits, hairstyles, make-up and accessories contributing to the colourful atmosphere.
The Rosa Riviera concept, inspired by the French Riviera, provided a distinctive fashion direction for the event, with shades of pink, orange and yellow featuring prominently around the Old Hararians grounds.
For many of the women, dressing for Girlfest appeared to be part of the anticipation long before they entered the venue.

The event’s social-media campaign had encouraged “besties” to create Pinterest inspiration boards and interpret the theme through flowing dresses, colourful ensembles and Mediterranean-inspired looks.
That preparation translated into an eye-catching gathering, with groups of friends arriving in coordinated outfits while others opted for individual interpretations of the theme.
The fashion element gave them another reason to photograph and document their experiences, with outfits becoming part of the social-media conversation surrounding the festival.
One attendee, @publichealthbae, had expressed her determination to attend before the event, writing: “I will go straight form the airport to Girlfest because ndinoda zvinhu.”
Following the festival, the enthusiasm remained evident online, with missB, identified as @tapiwa_ni, posting: “What an amazing night!!!!”
GirlFest has increasingly created an environment where attending an event is also an opportunity to express personality and style and for some, it is an exposure to learning decorum.
The pink-themed setting at some booths, colourful clothing and polished beauty looks gave the gathering a distinctly feminine character, while the outdoor venue provided ample space to socialise and capture good memories.
The fashion extended across different interpretations of the Rosa Riviera concept, from elegant dresses and coordinated sets to statement accessories and vibrant beauty looks.
Rather than prescribing a uniform dress code, the theme allowed women to experiment with colour and glamour while remaining connected to the overall aesthetic.
The result was a festival where the audience contributed significantly to the visual spectacle.
While Takura, Saintfloew, Enzo Ishall and Atenda Chinx provided the musical entertainment, the women in attendance supplied much of the colour and style that defined the occasion.

The DJs were definitely not outdone by the life performers, the likes of Kingher brought down the house, she impressed the besties with her selection.
GirlFest has therefore demonstrated how contemporary lifestyle events can become platforms for self expression, photography and personal branding.
For the women who spent time planning their outfits, the Rosa Riviera theme was part of the excitement of attending and creativity.
By the time the music started, many had already made their own statement.
The show was wrapped up with a bonus of a fireworks display.
