RUWA — A 25-year-old domestic worker has appeared in court facing allegations of sexually abusing a five-year-old boy at a house in Eastview, Ruwa.
Memory Munyakwe is charged with aggravated indecent assault over an incident allegedly committed at Phase 14, Eastview, last Wednesday.
The State alleges that Munyakwe was employed as a maid at the house where the child lived.
According to prosecutors, the boy went to the toilet at about 9am to relieve himself while Munyakwe was bathing.
It is alleged that after the child had finished, Munyakwe sexually assaulted him.
The boy later returned to his bedroom and reportedly told his grandmother what had happened.
A police report was made at ZRP Ruwa on Monday, resulting in Munyakwe’s arrest. The child was subsequently taken for medical examination.
