The President and First Secretary of ZANU-PF, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa, has called on ZANU-PF members to move beyond adopting party resolutions and ensure they are implemented in ways that produce tangible socio-economic development.

Read E-PaperThe president made the call while addressing the 397th Ordinary Session of the ZANU-PF Politburo in Harare, where he stressed the need for resolutions to contribute to the country’s development and advance Vision 2030.
“The theme of the upcoming party conference should encourage members to focus on putting resolutions into action,” President Mnangagwa said.
He emphasised that the party should not only adopt resolutions but also ensure that they translate into practical programmes and measurable development outcomes.
“The conference calls upon party members to go beyond the mere adoption of resolutions and place greater focus on their effective and tangible implementation,” he said.
The President stated that the implementation of party resolutions should support socio-economic development and contribute to the achievement of the country’s Vision 2030 objectives.
“Party structures must ensure that decisions reached at conferences and other meetings are followed through rather than remaining on paper,” the president added.
The emphasis on implementation comes as ZANU PF prepares for its upcoming conference, where party resolutions are expected to shape its programmes and priorities.
President Mnangagwa’s call places greater focus on translating party decisions into actions that can have a direct impact on communities and the wider economy.
He also stressed the importance of ensuring that the party’s resolutions remain aligned with national development priorities as Zimbabwe works towards Vision 2030.
