Scottland FC have been charged by the Premier Soccer League (PSL) for allegedly fielding an ineligible player during their Chibuku Super Cup match against FC Platinum at Rufaro Stadium on 14 August 2026.

“The Premier Soccer League has instituted disciplinary proceedings against Scottland FC for allegedly fielding an ineligible player (Witbeen Stoffel) during their Chibuku Super Cup match against FC Platinum at Rufaro Stadium on 14 August 2026,” the PSL said in a statement issued on Thursday, 1 October 2026.
The club has been charged with contravening Article 8.4, read together with Article 4.1 of the Chibuku Super Cup Rules and Regulations.
Scottland FC have been given until Friday, 2 October 2026, to submit their written plea, submissions or defence outline to the PSL.
The PSL also said a separate case involving Witbeen has been referred to the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) for determination under the relevant rules and regulations relating to a match played in the ZIFA Munhumutapa Cup.
