A forensic post-mortem has confirmed the cause of death for Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, and her two daughters, Natalie, 15, and Nala, 5.
Great Denham authorities said all three died from blunt force trauma injuries typically caused by a heavy object or a forceful impact against a hard surface, leading to critical damage to the head or body.
Detective Inspector Lee Martin, the lead investigator, noted the case has drawn wide international interest. He asked the public not to speculate.
“This has received extensive media attention, and we’ve seen international reports with some speculation,” he said. “Three murder charges have now been authorized by the CPS. Because proceedings are active, we can’t share any further details at this time.”
The update came as Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, 45, also known as Mark and the family’s main suspect, appeared at Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court. He was arrested in South Africa after allegedly fleeing the UK.
