The decision comes after the death of businessman Wicknell Chivayo, his wife Lucy Muteke and three other people in a helicopter crash in Marondera on Wednesday.

Announcing the decision on social media, Jah Prayzah said he and his band had decided not to perform as they mourned the deaths.

He said the group was not emotionally prepared to take the stage during the difficult period.

“We are simply not in a position to go on stage at this time as we grieve,” Jah Prayzah said.
