Zimbabwean musician Killer T, born Kelvin Kusikwenyu, has publicly apologised to Ambassador Kwame Tapiwa Muzawazi, his family and the wider public following his arrest over alleged threats and abusive language.

National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest, saying the musician was being held at Marlborough Police Station.
“I can confirm that musician Killer T, born Kelvin Kusikwenyu, has been arrested in connection with a report of threats and abusive language. He is being held at Marlborough Police Station,” Nyathi said.
In a public apology, Killer T admitted sending threatening, disrespectful and insulting voice notes to Muzawazi through WhatsApp on October 4, 2026.
He said he was shocked when he later listened to the messages and acknowledged that he had been heavily intoxicated at the time, although he accepted that alcohol could not excuse his conduct.
“I PUBLICLY RETRACT EVERYTHING I SAID AND SINCERELY APOLOGISE,” Killer T said.
The musician said the incident had tarnished his name and brand, while also making him a poor example to young people who look up to him as a musician and public figure.
He appealed to Muzawazi and his family for forgiveness, saying he regretted the pain and damage caused by his actions.
Killer T also said he intended to plead guilty when the matter comes before the courts, adding that he would not deny his actions or waste the court’s time.
The musician further said he had resolved to quit drinking alcohol after reflecting on his conduct and wanted to use his experience to advocate against drugs and substance abuse.
