The National Clean-Up Campaign continued yesterday, with authorities extending clean-up and restoration activities to Mutare and Chitungwiza while operations were intensified in Harare.

The exercise is part of Government’s wider efforts to improve urban cleanliness, tackle illegal dumping and reclaim public spaces.
In Chitungwiza, Operation Chenesa has seen authorities removing illegal structures at Makoni Business Centre, with further operations expected in Seke South, St Mary’s and Zengeza.
Mutare is also preparing for coordinated clean-up operations involving the city council and Mutare Rural District Council.
The planned exercises will target illegal vending, unauthorised structures, illegal dumping and other activities blamed for contributing to environmental degradation.
The campaign is expected to continue in cities, towns and growth points across the country as authorities push to improve urban environments and restore order in public spaces.
