A Mberengwa woman has been arrested in connection with the death of her 61-year-old husband, who allegedly died after being struck with a farm brick during a domestic dispute.

The deceased was identified as Manford Mchede, while his wife, Thokozani Tshuma, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Midlands police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the case, saying preliminary investigations indicated that the couple were at their home when an argument broke out.
The disagreement allegedly became violent, with Tshuma accused of picking up a farm brick and striking Mchede several times on the head and face.
Police were called to the homestead after the incident was reported at ZRP Mberengwa. Officers found Mchede unresponsive.
A blood-stained farm brick was recovered from the scene and taken as part of the evidence.
Mchede’s body was later transported to Mberengwa District Hospital mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted.
Tshuma was arrested on Tuesday and remains in police custody while investigations continue.
Inspector Mahoko urged members of the public to seek peaceful ways of resolving domestic disputes and to involve the police, traditional leaders or other responsible authorities when conflicts become difficult to manage.
The circumstances surrounding the death are still being investigated, and the allegations against Tshuma have not yet been tested in court.
