American rapper Rick Ross has been arrested in Miami on allegations of domestic violence.

Read E-PaperRoss, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II, was booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre at about 6.10am and faces charges of felony battery by strangulation and misdemeanor battery.
His bond was set at US$6,000, according to court and jail records.
Authorities have not disclosed detailed circumstances surrounding the alleged incident or publicly identified the alleged victim.
The arrest comes shortly after Ross’ former girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, accused the rapper of physically assaulting her in posts on social media.
Kendrick shared images of an injured lip and alleged that Ross had caused the injury. She also warned others against remaining in relationships where physical violence occurs.
Ross has not been publicly linked by authorities to Kendrick’s allegations, and it has not been established whether her claims relate to the charges in the current case.
Ross, a longtime Miami resident, has released several successful albums and collaborated with artists including Drake, DJ Khaled and Nicki Minaj.
His latest album, Set In Stone, was released in July and features artists including Gucci Mane, The-Dream and Yung Miami.
Court records show that Ross has retained lawyer Bradley Horenstein. His arraignment is scheduled for October 22.
