HARARE — Zimnat is inviting qualified and ambitious agriculture graduates to apply for two fixed-term Agriculture Graduate Trainee positions in Agricultural Insurance.
Based in Msasa, Harare, the programme will develop successful candidates into agricultural insurance professionals through practical training in agricultural risk assessment, field surveys, underwriting, claims, research and product development.
Trainees will work alongside the company’s Agronomist and Underwriting Manager, gathering information on crops, farming practices, production conditions and agricultural risks. They will also assist with agricultural claims, prepare field reports and engage farmers and other stakeholders.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from a recognised university. Preferred fields include:
-Agronomy
-Crop Science
-Horticulture
-Animal Science
-Agricultural Economics
-Agribusiness
-Other relevant agricultural disciplines
Candidates should have strong analytical, research, communication and report-writing skills. They must also be willing to conduct fieldwork and travel when required.
A clean Class 4 driver’s licence is an added advantage. Previous insurance experience is not required, as structured on-the-job training will be provided.
