Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CZR) Cde President Denford Mutashu has appointed Cde Moses Chihuri as the organisation’s new National Chairman, tasking him with leading the retail and wholesale sector’s advocacy agenda for a two-year tenure starting September 18, 2026.

“On behalf of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CZR), I am pleased to formally communicate your appointment to serve as the National Chairman of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers,” Cde Mutashu said.
The CZR President outlined that the role carries a significant mandate to ensure the confederation remains a strong voice for retailers and wholesalers across the country.
“The position carries an important responsibility of ensuring that the Confederation continues to effectively serve as a strong voice for retailers and wholesalers across Zimbabwe. We therefore look forward to your leadership, commitment, experience and contribution towards strengthening the organization and advancing its programmes and objectives,” he said.
Cde Mutashu also emphasised that the appointment is subject to the organisation’s governance structures and wished Chihuri success in his new role.
“Your appointment is for a period of two (2) years, subject to the Constitution, policies and applicable governance structures of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers,” he said.
Chihuri’s appointment is effective immediately and runs until September 2028.
