Leading telecommunications company NetOne and David Livingstone Primary School on Friday joined forces in a clean-up campaign aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and fostering a culture of cleanliness among young Zimbabweans.

The initiative brought together learners, teachers and NetOne employees who participated in cleaning and beautifying the school environment as part of broader national efforts to promote environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
The campaign was held in support of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision of a clean, healthy and sustainable Zimbabwe, with participants undertaking various activities including litter collection, sweeping and restoring sections of the school grounds.
Speaking during the event, participants emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in safeguarding the environment and creating cleaner communities for future generations.
The collaboration between NetOne and David Livingstone Primary School highlighted the growing role of partnerships between the corporate sector and educational institutions in advancing environmental awareness and community development.
NetOne said the initiative forms part of its commitment to building sustainable communities and supporting programmes that improve the well-being of citizens while contributing to national development goals.
The telecommunications giant noted that environmental conservation remains critical to creating healthy learning environments and empowering young people to become responsible custodians of the environment.
Learners actively participated in the exercise, demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to maintaining a clean school environment while gaining practical lessons on environmental protection.
The clean-up campaign comes as Zimbabwe continues to strengthen environmental management initiatives through regular clean-up programmes involving Government, private sector organisations and local communities.
