The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of three suspects in connection with drug trafficking along the Beitbridge-Bulawayo Road.
The suspects, identified as Mthokozisi Patrick Hlophe (46), Tapiwa Dube (38), and Dalubuhle Sibanda (41), were arrested at the 60-kilometre peg while travelling in a Nissan Hardbody Double Cab vehicle, registration number XVD 354 GH.
According to the police, the suspects were found in possession of 120.244 kilogrammes of dagga which was allegedly being transported illegally.
The ZRP said one of the suspects is a foreign national.
Police have reiterated their warning against drug and substance smuggling, peddling, and trafficking, saying law enforcement agencies will continue intensifying operations against criminal activities linked to drugs.
Investigations into the matter are underway.
