World Cup Preparations Resume as Bafana Bafana Resolves Visa Delays

Bafana Bafana’s travel plans for the FIFA World Cup are back on track after the South African national team secured the visas required to enter the United States, resolving a delay that had briefly disrupted preparations.

Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, confirmed that all players have now received their travel documents and are set to depart on a chartered flight scheduled for Monday.

According to McKenzie, only a small number of support staff members are still awaiting visa approval, including the assistant coach, team doctor, head of security and a performance analyst.

With the visa issue largely resolved, the squad can now focus fully on its preparations for the tournament. The team is expected to travel to the United States in high spirits as it gears up for the global showpiece.

As part of their final build-up, Bafana Bafana will take on Jamaica in an international friendly on 5 June, providing an important test ahead of the competition.
