A funeral service is being held in Bulawayo for Nothabo Zandile Tshuma and her two daughters, 15-year-old Natalie and five-year-old Nala, whose bodies were returned to Zimbabwe from the United Kingdom after they were allegedly murdered at their home in Great Denham, Bedfordshire, last month.

The tragic deaths have deeply affected both the Zimbabwean community in the UK and relatives back home. Prior to the repatriation of their remains, a memorial service was held in Bedford, where hundreds of people gathered to honour their lives. Relatives said they wished to bury the family in Zimbabwe to give them a fitting farewell.
Nothabo’s husband, Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, is accused of killing his wife and two daughters before allegedly fleeing the United Kingdom on 5 July.
He was later arrested in Kensington, Johannesburg, during a coordinated operation involving the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Interpol.
Tshuma is currently being held in South Africa, where he is facing a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm. Meanwhile, United Kingdom authorities are pursuing his extradition so that he can face three murder charges.
He is expected to appear before the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court again on 27 August as extradition proceedings continue.
