Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P and one half of the famous P-Square duo, has announced that he will now celebrate his birthday on November 30 instead of November 18, the date he previously shared with his twin brother Paul Okoye.
The singer said the change was a personal decision and urged fans not to send birthday messages or gifts on November 18, the date traditionally associated with both brothers’ birthdays.
The announcement comes as Peter’s and Paul’s relationship remains strained, alongside tensions involving their elder brother Jude Okoye, who previously managed the P-Square brand during the group’s successful years.
Although the twins reunited in 2021 after an earlier split, their relationship later deteriorated following disagreements reportedly linked to management issues, finances, and trust. Peter has since revealed that he cut ties with his brothers in 2025, with the dispute also attracting legal attention and public discussions.
While Peter did not directly state that the birthday change was connected to the family dispute, many fans view the decision as a symbolic move reflecting the ongoing separation between the once inseparable musical duo.
